Ten-Tec 6N2 Quick Reference
On-Off is on the AF control. Squelch is on its outside ring.
BAND key steps upward through the amateur bands. BAND stores last used MODE & BW.
Change Modes by pressing the MODE key to step through the Modes.
Change Tuning Rate with FUNC → FAST: Display briefly indicates FAS or SLO.
MULTI control adjusts most button functions and displays settings on the small readout. Func appears in the
MULTI display when you are ready for the second function of a key press.
Set DSP Bandwidth by pressing BW and adjust MULTI from 200 to 2800 Hertz.
LOCK and UNLOCK TUNING with LOCK – no indicator.
Operate Split Frequency by pressing SPLIT. Change SPLIT with Multi. Split on 2M can be -0.6 MHz or +0.6
MHz. Split on 6M can be -1 MHz, -0.5 MHz, +0.5 MHz, or +1 MHz. 0 MHz indicates simplex.
To set Odd Split, set VFO to receive frequency, then press A=B. Tune active VFO to transmit frequency, then
press A/B, lastly press SPLIT.
Set RIT in CW, LSB, and USB modes with RIT key and MULTI knob. In FM mode, RIT key sets standard splits.
In FM mode, set TX CTCSS TONE with TONE key and MULTI knob. (RX CTCSS tone squelch is not
supported.) In CW mode, set CW offset and sidetone pitch with TONE key and MULTI knob.
Switch VFOs with A/B. Switch between Memory and VFO modes with V/M. Display shows MEM and Memory
# when in Memory mode. Display shows VFOA or VFOB in VFO Mode.
Recall a Memory by pressing V/M to select Memory mode and select Memory # with MULTI. Recall a Memory
to last active VFO by pressing MW.
Store VFO to Memory in VFO mode by pressing MW and select Memory # with MULTI, then press MW again.
Or press V/M to store frequency and return to last active VFO. Frequency, split, and tone will be saved to
memory.
Clear a displayed Memory by pressing FUNC → MW.
Make both VFOs the same by A=B. Toggle between VFOs by pressing A/B.
Set Noise Blanker by pressing FUNC → NB. Multi adjusts Noise Blanker levels 0 through 9.
Set -20 dB RF Attenuator On or Off with FUNC → ATTN. No indicator except for S-meter.
Band Scan in VFO mode by setting VFO A to starting frequency and VFO B to ending frequency. Set squelch.
Return to VFO A and press SCAN key. Rotate MULTI to change scan direction. Stop scan with V/M (to enter
current frequency into active VFO) or SCAN key (to return to starting frequency).
Memory Scan in Memory mode by setting squelch and pressing SCAN key.
Lock out Memories from Memory SCAN by pressing V/M then use MULTI to find memory to be skipped. Then
press FUNC → SKIP. Minus sign (-) shows in front of Memory # display for skipped memories.
