Connecting an external device

With a digital audio/video signal
Suitable devices: Digital satellite receiver,

game console, BluRay player, DVD player/
recorder, set-top box, notebook, PC.
Video signal: digital image; definition: stan-

dard 576p; HDTV 720p, 1080i, 1080p.
Audio signal: digital audio (stereo, multi-chan-

nel compression, uncompressed).

1 Connect the HDMI1, HDMI2, HDMI3
socket on the television and the correspond-
ing HDMI socket on the external device
using a standard HDMI cable (digital video
and audio signal).
Using a DVD recorder, DVD play-
er, video recorder or set-top box
1 Switch on the video recorder, DVD player
or set-top box and select the function you
wish to use.

Connecting digital multi-channel
amplifier/AV receiver
1 Connect the Optic Out socket on the televi-
sion to the corresponding socket on the AV
receiver using a standard optic digital cable
(digital audio signal).
Notes:
If the audio system also has a playing func-

tion (e.g. Home theater system including
DVD player function), two devices will be
listed on the HDMI CEC list. The first one
is the player, and the second one is audio
player.
a Blu-ray Player is connected to the AV

receiver, please remove the Disc from the
Player during the registration.
The internal speakers of the television are

switching off automatically.
AV receiver volume can be adjusted using

TV remote control.
