2.6. Fan Module All JetStor FX series models are equipped with two redundant and hot swappable fan modules. The fan module for 4U/3U systems are the same, however 2U systems are different. In the event of power loss, the I/O cache data stored in the volatile memory will be lost; this can cause data inconsistency especially in database applications. The JetStor FX series can provide an optional Cache-to-Flash memory protection function that will safely transfer the memory cache data to a non-volatile flash device for permanent preservation.
