Do not exceed the maximum speciﬁcations of the switching module.

The Model 7789 connector kit is made up of two solder-cup connectors:

• 50-pin male D-shell with solder cups — This solder-cup connector (Figure 1A) mates to the 50-pin female D-shell on

Models 7701, 7703, and 7709 switching modules.

• 25-pin male D-shell with solder cups — This solder-cup connector (Figure 1B) mates to the 25-pin female D-shell on

Models 7701, 7707, and 7709 switching modules.

Each D-shell connector has the following features:

• 18 AWG solder-cup contacts.

• Gold-plated (ﬂash) over nickel on the entire contact (brass pin).

• Die cast shielded cable clamp with grommets.
