SPECIAL FUNCTIONS

First use

Before using the fl ight log for the fi rst time, you must:
• choose the fl ight log operating mode, page 12;
• set the time (TIME 1), page 14;
• set the UTC time difference, page 17;
• set the calendar, page 20.

Display lighting

This function:
• clears the hands to improve the visibility of the display;
• increases the brightness of the display if the ambient lighting is not
suffi cient.

After 5 seconds the hands return to their position and the bright-
ness of the display returns to its previous setting.
