Master reset from settings menu

A master reset restores the original factory settings and may delete your personal data on the internal storage,
such as downloaded content, ringtones, images, apps, and contacts. It does not delete data stored on the SIM card
or SD card.
To perform a master reset, follow these steps:
1. Back up all data on the internal memory.
2. From any Home screen, tap the All Apps icon.
3. Tap Settings.
4. Scroll down to 'PERSONAL,' then tap Backup and reset.
5. Scroll down to 'Personal data,' then tap Factory data reset.
6. Tap Reset phone.
Note: If the handset is locked, frozen, or unresponsive, you can perform a master reset using the hardware keys
instead of the menu.

If the device menus are frozen or unresponsive, you can master reset using hardware keys. To perform a master
reset, follow these steps:
1. Back up all data on the internal memory.
2. Turn off the device.
3. Remove the back cover.
4. Remove the battery.
5. Remove the SIM card.
6. Wait several seconds then reinstall the battery and SIM card and replace the back cover.
7. Press and hold down the Pound (#) key and the red End key at the same time until a menu screen
appears.
8. Select the green Check mark.
9. The phone will reset.

Security

Change device lock password / PIN

To change device lock password or PIN, follow these steps:
1. From any Home screen, tap the All Apps icon.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Scroll to 'PERSONAL,' then tap Security.
4. Scroll to and select Activate Phone Code.
5. Select Change phone code.
6. Enter the old password. Select OK.
7. Enter your new password. Select OK.
8. Enter your new password again. Select OK.
