1. From any home screen, tap Messaging.
2. Tap the + plus sign to create a message.
3. Tap the + plus sign again to expand the menu.
4. Tap Pictures to insert a saved picture.
5. Tap Videos to insert a saved video.
6. Tap the desired picture or video.
7. Tap the check mark to insert the picture or video into the message.
8. Scroll down and enter a message.
Note: You are not required to enter a message. However, you must scroll down to the message field for
the Send icon to become available.
9. When finished, tap Send MMS to send.
Text to Speech
Set up & turn on
To set up and use text to speech, follow these steps:
1. From any Home screen, tap the All apps icon.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Scroll down to 'PERSONAL,' then tap Language & input.
4. Scroll down to 'SPEECH,' then tap Text-to-speech settings.
5. Under 'PREFERRED ENGINE,' make selection:
Google Text-to-speech Engine
o
Pico TTS
o
6. Tap the Settings icon.
7. Tap Language, and then select the desired language.
8. Tap Install voice data.
9. Tap Download next to the desired language:
Spanish (Spain)
o
French (France)
o
German (Germany)
o
Italian (Italy)
o

Text to speech reads messages out loud, allowing you to listen to text or messages instead of reading them. To
change text to speech settings, follow these steps:
1. From any Home screen, tap the All apps icon.
2. Scroll down to 'PERSONAL,' then tap Language & input.
3. Scroll down to 'SPEECH,' then tap Text-to-speech settings.
4. Under 'GENERAL,' tap Speech rate.
5. Select one of the following options:
Very slow
o
Slow
o
Normal
o
Fast
o
Very fast
o
6. If necessary, tap Listen to an example to play a preview of your current settings.
