SUPERLOCK|SUPERLOCK2
Congratulations on the purchase of your new
Syntace SuperLock seatpost clamp.
Please read all instructions carefully as we have included some important information
and helpful tips.
Please be aware that all the components of your bicycle related to your safety have a
"memory like anelephant," they remember any damage (crashes, overloading, etc.) which
can add up to a shorter lifespan of the component.
We at Syntace have built in a proper amount of "Overload Safety" into all our compo-
nents.
A regular replacement schedule (ie: Every two years), of Syntace parts is, at time of this
writing, not necessary. However, after any crash or impact, especially to your stem or
handlebars, check for signs of fatigue (ie, discoloration, cracks, dents.), and to
determine if the stem or handlebars have bent. At the slightest sign of damage replace
your components!
DANGER: Damaged components should under no circumstance be straightened or
repaired, but immediately replaced. Otherwise the
component may fail and a crash with serious injury may result.
Proper use of Components
The seatpost quick release clamp is suitable for mountain bikes as well as road bikes.
The Syntace SuperLock quick release clamp is designed for use on bike paths, streets and
off-road riding.
Installation & Compatibility
Please check prior to installation of the seatpost clamp if the external diameter of the
seat tube of your frame is one of the below given diameters ±0.2 mm. If necessary,
deburr the upper edge of the seat tube on both the inside and outside.

SuperLock Installation
For "scratch-free" assembly to the frame we already use the standard M5 nut as an aid.
Once on the frame, remove nut by sliding it out again.

The SuperLock quick release can simply be used just like every other seatpost quick
release. Slide the SuperLock together with the seal onto the seat tube. Then slide the
seatpost into the seat tube.
TIP: Please ensure the quick release is aligned properly with the frame (pic), otherwise the
rear of the bike may come into contact with the quick release lever when rear suspension
is compressed, depending on the type of frame. On a Liteville 301 frame, remove the front
shock mounting bolt and carefully fully compress the rear suspension to check the posi-
tion of the SuperLock. Ensure the SuperLock clamping slit is parallel to the frame upper
tube when viewed from above.
Please do never close the SuperLock when the seatpost is removed, as this may lead to a
damaged seat tube.
Close the lever with moderate strength and adjust the clamping force with the knurled
screw such, that it is no longer possible to twist the seatpost with effort. Repeatedly
perform a twist test before tightening the clamp further.
ATTENTION: with carbon seatposts: Do not blindly ``slam´´ the quick release closed.

Note: On a Liteville 301 in frame size XS mount the Syntace SuperLock2 with the lever in
driving direction.
Further Functions of the SuperLock
For a even simpler, quicker operation on the track assemble the SuperLock as follows:
Slide the SuperLock onto the seat tube. Assure the SuperLock is aligned properly.
SuperLock: Drill a hole with a 3.3 mm drill bit through the
provided hole in the rear of the SuperLock and into the seat
tube of the frame (pic).
SuperLock2: Drill a hole with a 4.2 mm drill bit through
the provided hole at the side below the lever of the
SuperLock and into the seat tube of the frame
Deburr the new hole from the inside of the frame with a fine sandpaper to ensure the
seatpost does not get scratched.
