Troubleshooting guide

Before requesting service, make the following checks. If you are in doubt about some of the check points, or if the solutions indicated in the table do not solve the problem, refer to
"Customer Services Directory" on page 9 if you reside in the U.S.A., or refer to "Product information" on page 3 if you reside in Canada.
On your home theater unit
The wireless link indicator
[e.g. " [W2] " (SC-PTX7: " [W1] ")]
does not light.
The wireless link indicator
[e.g. " [W2] " (SC-PTX7: " [W1] ")]
is flashing.
The wireless link indicator
[e.g. " [W2] " (SC-PTX7: " [W1] ")]
is lit, but there is no sound from
the wireless sound system.
(Except SC-PTX7)
The wireless link indicator
(e.g. " [W1] " or " [WS] ") is lit, but
there is no sound from the
wireless accessory after
pairing.

≥ Ensure that the digital transmitter is fully inserted into the slot of the home theater unit.
≥ Check that the home theater unit is turned on, and the wireless sound system is turned on.
≥ The wrong transmitter card has been inserted into the home theater unit. (The SH-FX65T transmitter card cannot be used with the wireless
sound system.)
≥ There is no link between the home theater unit and the wireless sound system. Check that the wireless sound system is plugged into the
AC outlet and is turned on.
≥ Ensure that the selector on the wireless sound system is set to "WIRELESS".
≥ Ensure that the wireless sound system is within 30 m (98 ft) of the home theater unit.
≥ When pairing your existing wireless accessories with SH-FX85T digital transmitter, ensure the corresponding wireless accessories are
plugged into the AC outlet and are turned on.
≥ Check the selected source from your home theater unit with [2ND SELECT] on your remote control.
≥ Turn the wireless sound system off, disconnect the AC power supply cord, and then reconnect it.
≥ When playing from a 2-channel audio source (e.g. AM/FM station, music CD, etc.), turn on one of the surround sound effects of your home
theater system (e.g. Surround Music) in order to utilize all audio channels. (Refer also to your home theater unit's operating instructions.)
≥ Turn the wireless accessory off, disconnect the AC power supply cord, and then reconnect it.
The model number and serial number of this product can be found on either the
back or the bottom of the unit. Please note them in the space provided below and
keep for future reference.
