SERVICE DIAGNOSIS

SYMPTON
Unit will not run
(No warning LEDS glows)
(Green LED-Power ON glows)
(Bin full LED glows)
(Red-alarm LED glows)
Compressor cycles intermittently
Cubes too small
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Blown fuse in P.C.Board
Main switch in OFF position
Burn-out transformer
Inoperative P.C.Board
Loose electrical connections
P.C.Board selector in STAND BY
Blow 16 A fuse in P.C. Board
Inoperative ice level control
Evaporator sensor unplugged
Evaporator sensor out of order
Evaporator sensor probe loose
on its cable
Compressor doesn't run
Fan motor doesn't run during freezing
Hot gas valve open during freezing
Water inlet valve open during freezing Replace water inlet valve
No water to the water cooled
condenser
Low voltage
Non-condensable gas in system
Compressor starting device with
loose wires
Freezing cycle too short
Capillary tube partially restricted

SUGGESTED CORRECTION
Replace fuse & check for cause of
blown fuse
Turn switch to ON position
Replace P.C. Board
Replace P.C.Board
Check wiring
Move to OPERATING position
Replace fuse
Replace ice level control
Check for properly plug
Check with an ohmmeter for
electrical conductivity. If zero or
infinitive replace it
Replace it
Check for power on compressor
PC Board outlet. If so replace
compressor.
If not replace PC Board.
Replace fan motor
Replace hot gas valve
Check for correct operation of
water solenoid valve
Check for cleannes of water inlet
valve strainer
Check for cleannes of water inlet
valve flow control
Check for shortage of water
Check for correct operation of
pressure control
(Cut in at 10 bar - 140 psi)
Check circuit for overloading
Check voltage at the supply to the
building. If low, contact the power
company
Purge the system
Check for loose wires in starting
device
Review setting of DIP SWITCH keys
Blow charge, add new gas & drier,
after evacuating system with
vacuum pump
Same as above
See remedies for shortage of water
Check for leaks & recharge
Replace sensor
