The Hornby HM7000 decoder is compatible with regulated DC power supplies in the 14VDC–16VDC range and is rated up to 27V, though it is advised not to exceed 20V. Compatibility with a Gaugemaster transformer depends on the specific model and whether it provides a regulated DC output within this voltage range. If the Gaugemaster transformer provides 14VDC–16VDC regulated output, it should be compatible.
