The OM SYSTEM WS-883 recorder supports rechargeable batteries and USB charging. However, the manual specifies setting the battery type to [Ni-MH] when using rechargeable batteries. Duracell Plus batteries are typically alkaline and not rechargeable. Using USB charging with non-rechargeable alkaline batteries like Duracell Plus could be unsafe and may damage the device or batteries. It is recommended to use only compatible rechargeable batteries for USB charging.
