    GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION PROPANE (LP) SUPPLY 1. You must provide the propane gas cylinder(s). Use this heater only with a propane vapor withdrawal supply system. Refer to Chapter 5 of the Standard for Storage and Handling of Liquefied Petroleum Gas , ANSI/ NFPA 58.

    FEATURES PIEZO IGNITION: Model MH-0018-0M11 uses a manual Piezo igniter button to send a spark when you turn the Gas Valve Knob to “PILOT”. The spark ignites the fuel at the pilot. TIP SWITCH SHUT-OFF SYSTEM: The heater is protected by a system whereby the heater shuts off if it is substantially tilted in any direction.

    Caution: Always provide a fresh air opening in the heated space of at least three square feet (2,800 sq. cm) for each 100,000 BTU/Hr. of heater output. Provide a larger opening if more heaters are being used. As an example, a MH-0018-0M11 heater will require: Regulator LP Cylinder •...

    OPERATION TEST FIRING HEATER It is always a good idea to test fire your heater in a safe and controlled environment, in an area with adequate ventilation, and away from any combustibles to be sure that all functions of the heater and gas supply sys- tem are operating properly.

    If bubbles appear, there is a leak. If a leak is found, turn off the gas supply, re-make the leaking connection. If the leak persists after several tries, contact Mi-T-M Customer Service at 800-553-9053. The installation of this heater must meet all local codes and/or gas utility requirements. In the absence of local codes, the National Fuel Code ANSI Z223.1 should be followed.

    FONCTIONNEMENT TEST DE MISE À FEU DU RADIATEUR Il est toujours recommandé de tester la mise à feu du radiateur dans un environnement sécuritaire et con- trôlé, dans un endroit bien ventilé, situé loin de tout matériau combustible, pour s’assurer que toutes les fonctions du radiateur et du système d’alimentation en gaz fonctionnent correctement.

    Si la fuite persiste après plusieurs essais, contacter le service cli- entèle de Mi-T-M au 800-553-9053. L’installation de ce radiateur doit être conforme à tous les codes locaux et/ou aux exigences des services de gaz.     OPERACIÓN PROBAR EL CALENTADOR Siempre es buena idea probar el calentador en un medio seguro y controlado, en un espacio con suficiente ventilación y sin la presencia de ningún tipo de combustible, para comprobar que funcionen correctamente todos los dispositivos del calentador y del sistema de suministro de gas. Verifique que no escape gas por ninguna conexión mediante una solución de partes iguales de jabón lavaplatos y agua.

    MANTENIMIENTO MANTENIMIENTO Y ALMACENAMIENTO Siempre desconecte el cilindro de PL del conjunto del regulador y sepárelo del calentador antes de guardar- lo. Si por cualquier razón debe almacenarse el calentador dentro de la edificación, SE DEBE desconectar el cilindro de PL y guardar afuera, en un espacio bien ventilado y fuera del alcance de los niños, de acuerdo con la más reciente edición de la Norma para el almacenamiento y la manipulación de gases licuados, ANSI/ NFPA 58.
