A. Equipment should be mounted in a 19-inch chassis or cabinet. B. The optical amplifier is designed to work within the temperature range 5°C~50°C (23°F~122°F). Maxcom suggest a target environment temperature of 25°C(77°F). Humidity should not exceed 85%. A dust free environment is desirable, however if dust is present, clean the fans periodically as needed to maintain good air flow and cooling to prevent the unit from overheating.

Fiber Connections Cleaning fiber-optic connectors can help prevent interconnect problems and therefore, aid system performance. When optical connectors are disconnected and reconnected, the fiber surface may become dirty or scratched. The goal of cleaning the fiber optic connectors is to remove all dust and contaminants without leaving any residue.
