• Avoid contacting moving parts. • Do not operate can opener with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return can opener to the Authorized Sunbeam Appliance Service Center for examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment. - Page 3 Be certain that the cutting edge is on the inside of the can lip as shown (2). Push can opener lever down firmly (3) and hold until the can lid is automatically pierced and the cutting action begins.
- Page 4 1. Be sure knife is clean and free of grease. 2. Place heel of knife into the guide slot located on the back of the can opener. Lightly draw the blade towards you, applying a slight downward pressure (6). Repeat this procedure four to five times to put a sharp edge on the knife.
