Place the extension boxes immediately next to the alarm unit. Another extension option is to use a DOL 2400/DOL 2300 in a Master/Client system. It can be done in a LAN network, mainly where the alarm system covers a geographically large area.
DOL 2400 • DOL 2300 2 Procedure This technical manual deals with installing the alarm system and is aimed primarily at the service technicians and electricians who will be mounting, installing, and testing the alarm system. According to current national and in Europe also EU regulations, the installation must be carried out by expert personnel.
DOL 2400 • DOL 2300 3 Mounting guide 1. Remove the necessary number of knock-out pieces from the cabinet to allow for sensors, supply and poten- tial phase break relay. Remember to use M25 glands in order to obtain a tight cable connection 2.
DOL 2400 • DOL 2300 3.2 Mounting of climate sensors • Never use a plug on the DOL 12 temperature sensor as a bad connection here could have disas- trous results. • Never use shrink-on sleeves when splicing wires inside the livestock house. Use a contact box.
DOL 2400 • DOL 2300 3.3 Mounting the extension box Position the extension box to the right of the alarm unit for optimal flat cable installation. 1. Remove knock-outs (A) and (B) from the outside with a hammer and screwdriver.
DOL 2400 • DOL 2300 4 Installation guide 4.1 Electrical connection Installation, servicing and troubleshooting of all electrical equipment must be carried out by quali- fied personnel in compliance with the applicable national and international standard EN 60204-1 and any other EU standards that are applicable in Europe.
