  1. Never look directly into the sun with binoculars. Loss of vision may occur.

* Pull out the eye cups for use. When using the binoculars while wearing glasses, push in the eye cups. In both cases, use at the click position.

Adjust the eye interval

Adjust the eye interval

Remove the cover and adjust the binoculars with both hands by moving the unit slowly as shown in the figure. Perform the adjustment while looking through the binoculars until the fi eld of view becomes a single circle.

Decide what you want to see and use the left eyepiece to focus

Focus

Rotate the focus dial while looking with your left eye through the left eyepiece, and focus so that you can see the intended object clearly.

Adjust the diopter control on the right eyepiece while looking with your right eye

Adjust the diopter control

Rotate the diopter adjustment control while looking with your right eye through the right eyepiece, until the same object is in focus.

Bring the subject into focus

While looking through the binoculars with both eyes, rotate the focus dial until the subject is in optimum focus.

Caution on waterproof design

Although these binoculars have a waterproof design that has no adverse effect with immersion for 5 minutes at a depth of 1 m, they can not be used under water.

Care And Storage

  • Remove any dust with a blower, and wipe gently with a clean cloth. When the eyepieces are stained, wipe it with a cloth, etc., moistened with a commercially available lens cleaner. Do not use thinner, benzine or organic solvents to clean the binoculars.
  • When the binoculars are not to be used for an extended period of time, store them in a well-ventilated place, avoiding high temperature and humidity.
  • Avoid strong impacts caused by bumping or dropping the binoculars
  • Do not apply excessive force to the binoculars.
  • Bring your binoculars to the Olympus service station whenever it is damaged or malfunctions.
