4.2 Intended use
The STIHL FS 261 brushcutter is designed for
the following applications:
– With a mowing head: mowing grass
– With a grass cutting blade: mowing grass and
weeds
– with a brush knife: Cutting brush with a stem
diameter up to 20 mm
– with a shredder blade: For mowing and shred‐
ding thickets with a diameter of up to 20 mm
– with a circular saw blade: Cutting shrubs and
trees with a stem diameter up to 70 mm
