    3. GENERAL VIEWING FUNCTION 3.1. ROGRAM INFORMATION At the end of the first installation or after the validation of a service in the service selector, the STB turns into the viewing mode. The first day of the schedule events is the current day. you can consult the events over seven days. The information presented for the selected event are : start time, title and short description.
  • Page 37 3.6. HANNEL ELECTOR The Channel Selector is activated by a press on OK key in viewing mode. This screen presents the channels of the current default/favorite list. When selecting one channel of this list with the OK key, the set plays it in background. When the end-user press OK on the selected service, the set switches to viewing mode and plays the selected channel.
  • Page 38 From this menu few main categories of settings are available, management of TV and Radio favorites lists, different settings about the configuration of the Set Top Box or TV, installation of antenna and channels, a few settings just for user comfort and finally information about the model and version of the Set Top Box.

    4.2.1. CONFIGURATION Screen20 • TV Format : Depending on the TV format, the format of the video on the TV SCART is automatically converted to 4:3 or 16:9 according to the received data for each zapping. • TV Mode : means that the CVBS format on the TV SCART can be PAL, SECAM or NTSC.

S TANDARD INSTALLATION MODE Once you validate the “channels installation” screen, the scan starts exactly like once which was done for the “First Time Installation”: the receiver executes a full automatic scan.

CCESS ONTROL The parental control item allows to enable or disable the locking management.

    screen 32 The menu to modify PIN code is protected by requesting PIN code access. The default receiver PIN code (after the “First Time Installation” or “Factory System Reinstallation”) is “0000”. Then enter the new wanted PIN code, enter it a second time in Confirm item, just to be sure that there is no typing fault.
