Change Power Settings for E300 USB

On some computers the E300 USB has shown adverse performance on Windows Vista and
Windows 7 when the standard power settings are in use.
Effects seen are usually flickering / jumpy video in the live view window, particularly when getting
the alignment close. The Error status light should also flash during this time.
This particular issue can usually be remedied by changing the power settings on the computer.
Similar effects can sometimes be seen when using USB ports that are not on the back of the pc, or
when using quite long USB cables. If possible using a shorter USB cable and ensuring it is plugged
into the back of the PC should be tried first.
If a laptop is being used, this setting should be changed while the laptop is plugged in to AC power.
The Laptop should also be plugged into AC power when used with the E300 Instrument.
To change your power settings to 'High performance' plan
1. Go to Control Panel
Click on Start Menu, then Control Panel which should be on the right hand side.
