Electric heater Aqua HL
Installation in Circulation System
WARNING
• The water inlet on this device must not be connected to the inlet water from any other
heating system.
• This apparatus must ALWAYS be installed at least 200 mm below normal water level,
see the installation example.
• The valves must not be installed in such a way that the water flow through the heater can
accidentally be completely shut off.
• The installation must be performed so that the heater cannot self-drain if the pool water
circulation ceases and air bubbles cannot form.
• The heater must be installed on the return conduit to the pool AFTER any filter.
• Any dosage of chlorine, acid or similar must be done AFTER the heater in the direction of
the flow.
• The marking of the flow directions on the heater shows the direction that applies to the inlet
and outlet.
Installation
The pipe connection is made before the electrical installation.
The electric heater shall be installed horizontally according to the drawing, so that it is always completely filled with
water. Under no circumstances may this device be started without being completely filled with water.
• The heater must be installed on the return conduit to the pool AFTER any filter, and be at least 200 mm below the normal
water level of the pool or spa bath, see the example.
• The connection must be made with PVC pipe at least 200 mm straight length before and after the heater. The standard-
design connection is bonded onto the PVC pipe of an outer diameter of 50 mm (inner diameter at least 42 mm).
Connection A: Bonded onto the PVC pipe of an outer diameter of Ø1½" (inner diameter at least 42 mm).
Connection B: Hose with inner diameter of at least 35 mm is connected and shall be clamped in order to ensure 200 mm
of straight length before and after the heater.
• The valves must not be installed in such a way that the water flow through the heater can accidentally be shut off.
• Do not install a shut-off valve between the heater and the pool. If a valve is required here, this shall be a check valve.
• If the heater is placed on inflammable material, a fire-safety slat or similar object must be place between the heater and the
inflammable material. The slat much cover an area extending 10 cm outside of the heater's outer dimensions.
• The heater must be installed in a location that is not exposes to the weather and shall be protected against water penetration.
• If the heater is located such that there is a risk of freezing, the installation must be done so that the heater can be emptied
of all water.
If the installation instructions are not followed, the product guarantee is null and void.
