SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- By ignoring the safety instructions the manufacturer can not be hold responsible for the damage.
- Do not use this appliance with a damaged cord or plug or when the appliance has malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. To avoid a hazard make sure that a damaged cord or plug will be replaced by an Competent qualified repair service(*). Do not repair this appliance yourself.
- Never move the appliance by pulling the cord and make sure the cord can not become entangled.
- The appliance must be placed on a stable, level surface.
- The user must not leave the device unattended while it is connected to the supply.
- This appliance is only to be used for household purposes and only for the purpose it is made for.
- To protect children against the dangers of electrical appliances, please make sure that you never leave the appliance unattended. Therefore you have to select a storage place for the appliance where children are not able to grab it. Make sure that the cable is not hanging in a downward position.
- To protect yourself against an electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug or appliance in the water or any other liquid.
- This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
- Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments.
- By clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments.
- Bed and breakfast type environments
- Farm houses
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.
- Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Children shall not play with the appliance.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE
- Take the appliance and accessories out the box. Remove the stickers, protective foil or plastic from the device.
- Place the device on a flat stable surface and ensure a minimum of 10 cm. free space around the device. This device is not suitable for installation in a cabinet or for outside use.
- Always place the inner pot inside the outer pot before plugging in the rice cooker.
- When plugging in the cooker, always make sure that the inner pot contains liquid, or be ready to immediately ad oil, butter or margarine to the inner pot.
- Always dry the outer surface of the inner pot before placing it inside the cooker. Any moisture remaining on the inner pot surface may cause a cracking noise while the unit is heating up.
- Put the power cable into the socket. (Note: Make sure the voltage which is indicated on the device matches the local voltage before connecting the de vice. Voltage 220V-240V 50/60Hz)
- When the device is turned on for the first time, a slight odor will occur. This is normal, ensure adequate ventilation. This fragrance is only temporary and will disappear soon.
USE
Cooking rice
- Use the measuring cup provided to measure the desired quantity of rice. As a guide one cup of rice is sufficient for one person, but this will vary according to individual tastes. Fill the cup with rice leveling the top.
- Thoroughly wash the rice in several changes of clean water and drain. Failure to do so may cause poor results and/or a buildup of steam within the appliance. Do not wash the rice in the inner bowl as you may damage it.
- Transfer the rice to the inner bowl and level the surface of the rice. Add sufficient cold water to the corresponding level marked on the bowl e.g. to cook 3 cups of rice, place the washed rice into the inner bowl and then fill with water up to the 3 cup level. You may find that for your own personal taste you need to slightly adjust the amount of water added. For a softer rice add a little more water, and for a firmer rice a little less water.

- Transfer the inner bowl to the rice cooker ensuring that there is no rice or any moisture on the outside of the bowl.
- Cover with the lid, ensuring that the vent hole in the lid is situated away from the operator.
- Connect the appliance to the power supply. Depress the control lever to the COOK position and the cook light will glow.
- Once the rice is cooked, the appliance will automatically switch to the WARM position and the keep warm light will glow.
- Carefully lift the lid and allow any condensation to drip into the rice cooker. Use the spatula provided to fluff up the rice which is then ready to eat. Replace the lid as quickly as possible. Consume the stirred rice within 1 hour.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Before cleaning, unplug the appliance and wait for the appliance to cool down.
- Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. Never use harsh and abrasive cleaners, scouring pad or steel wool, which damages the device.
- Never immerse the device in water or any other liquid. The device in not dishwasher proof.

- This product is guaranteed for 24 months granted. Your warranty is valid if the product is used in accordance to the instructions and for the purpose for which it was created. In addition, the original purchase (invoice, sales slip or receipt) is to be submitted with the date of purchase, the name of the retailer and the item number of the product.
