The Set-up Menu

The Set-up menu includes the items in the following
table. See "Using the Menus" (P.76) for more infor-
mation on displaying and using the Set-up menu.

Select the type of menu display for the
Shooting, Movie, Playback and Set-up
menus.
Select the welcome screen displayed when
the camera is turned on.
Set the camera clock and time zone.
Display the current settings and adjust the
brightness of the monitor.
Imprint the recording date/time on pictures.
Set the Shot confirmation LED to light after
each shot.
Set the AF-assist illuminator to light when
focusing.
Set the button sound, the volume of shutter
and start-up sounds.
Set the time before the camera enters
Standby mode automatically to save power.
Format the internal memory or memory card. P.106
Select a language for the camera menus and
messages.
Set USB and Video mode options.
Set all pictures to transfer before shooting.
Restore camera settings to default.
