9.2 Freezing the reading (HOLD)
While you measure, you can freeze readings on the display with the HOLD func-
tion.
Important:
Beware that frozen readings can mislead you because electrical values in cir-
cuits can change rapidly.
1. Press the button HOLD to freeze display readings.

The display shows "HOLD".
2. Press the button HOLD to unfreeze the display readings.
9.3 Measuring DC voltage
Measure DC voltage up to 600 V/DC.
1. Press the power button to switch the multimeter on.
2. (If not using SMART mode) Repeatedly press the button FUNC until "DC"
shows on the display.

The display shows "AUTO" to indicate that auto-range selection is activated.
3. Connect the red test lead to the measurement socket INPUT.
4. Connect the black test lead to the measurement socket COM.
5. Connect the two test probes in parallel to the object that you want to measure.
Connect the red test probe to the positive terminal and the black test probe to
the negative terminal.

The display shows the measured value and polarity.
