Entering a Word

To enter a word using Word mode:

Choose Word as your text entry mode.

Type a word by using one key press per desired letter.
For example, to type test press
NOTE: The displayed word may change as you type it. Do not try to
correct the word as you go. Type to the end of the word
before editing.
3 After you have finished typing, if the word that appears is not the
desired word, press
most likely word in the database.
Repeat until the desired word appears.
If the desired word does not appear, you can add it to the database of
words by deleting the displayed word and using the instructions in
"Adding Words to the User Database".
Adding Words to the User Database
To add words to the T9 database:

Change from Word text entry mode to Alpha text entry mode (see
"Choosing a Text Entry Mode" on page 28).

Type the word using Alpha text entry mode.

Return to Word text entry mode.

Press to add a space.
The word you typed in Alpha text entry mode is now in the database.
NOTE: You cannot store alphanumeric combinations such as Y2K.
