Condensation accumulates on the
surface of the appliance and on
the shelves inside.
A large volume of condensation
collects regularly in the fruit and
vegetable container.
The appliance hums, bubbles,
buzzes, gargles, clicks or crackles.
The appliance makes noises.
15.1 Power failure
During a power failure, the temperature in the appliance
rises; this reduces the storage time and the quality of the
frozen food.

¡ Open the appliance as little as possible during a power
failure and do not place any other food in the appliance.
15.2 Conducting an appliance self-test
Your appliance has an appliance self-test which displays
faults that can be eliminated by your customer service.

Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.

Unplug the appliance from the power source or switch
off the circuit breaker in the fuse box.

a The appliance self-test starts when the temperature dis-
plays light up in succession.
Cause and troubleshooting
The water contained in warm and humid air condenses on the colder surfaces of the
appliance.
Wipe away the water with a soft, dry cloth.

Open the appliance as briefly as possible.

Ensure that the appliance is always closed properly.

Depending on the food and quantity stored, condensation may form in the fruit and
vegetable container.

Not an issue. A motor is running, e.g. refrigerating unit, fan. Refrigerant is flowing
through the pipes. The motor, switches or solenoid valves are switching on or off.
Automatic defrosting is running.

Align the appliance using a bubble level and the screw feet.
The appliance is not free-standing.
Observe the minimum clearances for the appliance.
Fittings wobble or stick.
Check the removable fittings and, if required, replace these.
Bottles or containers are touching.
Move the bottles or containers away from each other.
Super freezing is switched on.

¡ Check the quality of the food immediately after a power
failure.
– Dispose of any frozen food that has defrosted and is
warmer than 41 °F (5 °C).
– Cook or fry slightly thawed frozen food, and then ei-
ther consume it or freeze it again.
a If, at the end of the appliance self-test, two audible sig-
nals sound and the temperature display indicates the
set temperature, your appliance is OK. The appliance
switches to normal operation.
a If, at the end of the appliance self-test, 5 audible signals
sound and the temperature display LEDs light up with a
different brightness, inform customer service. The LEDs
provide customer service with information about this
fault.
