WARNING:
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MAKE THIS CONNECTION UNLESS
YOU HAVE THE EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE TO DO SO.
INCORRECT CONNECTIONS MAY CAUSE MALFUNCTION OF CAR
STEREO AND OTHER ELECTRICAL SYSTEM COMPONENTS. CONSULT
AN MECP CERTIFIED INSTALLER IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE TOOLS
OR KNOWLEDGE TO MAKE THIS CONNECTION.
The Interface Cable from
the iCruze package has a
separate yellow wire
and so does the 1991-95
Interface Cable. Place a piece
of black electrical tape over
the end of the wire on the
1991-95 Interface Cable
and connect the yellow
wire from the included iCruze cable to constant 12 volt power. This
should be available from the car stereo wire harness. Consult your car's
factory service manual for the location of this wire. An MECP certified
installation professional can also help.
To prevent cutting the car's wire harness, a T-Tap type connector
is recommended (be certain to use the proper size T-Tap to ensure
a reliable connection).

Step 3
The Interface Cable from
the iCruze package plugs
into the "OEM Interface"
port on iCruze with the
rectangular or Molex
end.
®
You should already have the
other end plugged into the
1991-95 Interface Cable. The
end of that cable, a small
round plug, goes directly
into the CD changer port on the back of your factory radio.
You are now finished with Interface Cable installation, skip
to the OPERATION NOTES SECTION.
1996-2002 VEHICLES ONLY
Step 1
For 1996 and up compatible Volvos, your installation will use
the cable with a small round connector on one end and a 10 socket
plug on the other. This Interface Cable also has red and yellow
wires that are outside the black jacketing. You will not use the cable
supplied with iCruze.
