    Driving your CV1 is much like driving a large, modern SUV with these big exceptions: 1. The popup top must be lowered while the RV is motion 2. The CV1 is 8’4” tall (approximately 13’ tall with cell phone booster antenna raised) – use caution when driving under any structure or obstacle 3.

    Ford designated locations. The jack is in its original location, under the passenger seat. Due to the CV1’s passenger seat swivel, access to the jack is more difficult, but the jack can be retrieved and stored under the seat in its original position.

    Major Systems 12V System The CV1 has two 12V batteries: the chassis battery and the house battery. The chassis battery starts the chassis engine and runs other chassis based systems such as the headlights. The house battery runs all the RV’s non 110V camping equipment. When the RV’s engine is running, the batteries are automatically connected so the chassis alternator can supply 12V power and charge both batteries.

    As mentioned above, to protect your house battery, it is best to keep it from draining below 11V. The simplest way to do this is to turn off the house 12V system when storing or parking your CV1 for more than 1-2 days.
  • Page 9: 120V Inverter Function

    Transfer Switch Function When your CV1 is plugged into shore power and the inverter is on, all 120V power applications are run directly from shore power. This allows you to run loads such as the rooftop A/C that cannot normally be run off the house battery.

    7. Close drain valves and faucets – the fresh water system is ready for use. Cold Weather Operation The CV1’s plumbing and optional hot water heater can be damaged by freezing water. Damage due to freezing is NOT covered under warranty. The CV1’s water systems have some capability for running in sub-freezing conditions.

    Front Row Swivel Seats The ModVans CV1 comes standard with a passenger side swivel seat. Some CV1 customers opt to add a driver side swivel as well. To operate swivel seats vans with manually operated seats, slide the seat forward, tilt the seatback forward, move the swivel handle toward the middle of the van, and swivel the seat toward the middle of the van.

    Battery Monitor. The Solar Panel is a large panel mounted on the roof of your CV1. The large size allows some parts to be covered or shadowed while continuing to generate electricity. The amount of output will depend heavily on how much sunlight reaches the panel.

    Fast Charging USB Ports The CV1 includes 2 fast charging (2.1A) USB ports. They are located in the control panel, behind the volt meter, and are powered by the house battery. There are two additional USB ports in the dash (one on top in front of the driver, and one below the vehicle climate controls).

    The CV1 also has two large interior lights mounted above the rear doors. These are part of the van chassis and are powered by the chassis battery.     Toilet The CV1’s toilet contains an integrated fresh water tank, black water tank, and battery operated pump. We supply all toilet parts sealed in their original packaging, so the toilet will require a bit of attention before its first use.
