Preparing the appliance for
first use
Remove any packaging material.

Remove any stickers or film.

Unwind the power cord to the required

Notes
¡ Only use the appliance with the limes-
cale filter inserted and the lid or the
teapot fitted.
¡ If you lift the kettle from the base and put
it down again, the kettle will continue the
boiling process or will continue to keep
the water warm.
¡ To end

¡ If the appliance is not being used for a
long time, pull out the mains plug.

"keep warm" is activated, the
appliance saves up to 90% energy. If the
kettle is filled with fresh water, first bring
the water to the boil.
Tips
¡ Briefly rinse the Turkish tea with the tea
filter under hot running water. This will re-
move residues of dust from the tea and
improve the flavour.
¡ To ensure the full aroma, leave the Turk-
ish tea to brew for at least 20 minutes.
¡ Do not add more water to the tea in the
teapot again but use up entirely.
Making tea
The preparation method is tailored to Turk-
ish tea. Other types of tea will become bitter
due to the long brewing time.

Descaling the appliance
Notes
¡ Regular descaling:
– prolongs the life of the appliance
– ensures proper functioning
– saves energy
¡ If you are descaling the appliance with a
commercially available descaler, follow
the manufacturer's instructions for use
and safety.
¡ If you descale the appliance with vin-
egar, insert 2 tablespoons of vinegar into
the water that has been boiled instead of
the descaling tablet.
¡ If you use the kettle every day, descale it
in shorter intervals.
¡ After descaling, remove the limescale fil-
ter and place in a little vinegar.

Overview of cleaning
▶ Do not use cleaning agents containing
alcohol or spirits.
▶ Do not use sharp, pointed or metal ob-
jects.
