Kind to the environment. As part of its commit-

ment to producing and delivering energy-efficient,

environmentally friendly monitors for facilities

striving to be more "green" with their technol-

ogy purchases, NEC currently offers the largest

selection of monitors that are in compliance with

the Electronic Product Environment Assessment

Tool (EPEAT) standards. With the NEC AccuSync

LCD72VX and LCD92VX, NEC is currently the

only manufacturer to offer both trade-compliant

displays that also are EPEAT silver-certified. In

fact, more than 95% of NEC monitors have been

awarded silver certification from EPEAT. EPEAT-

compliant monitors are recognized for helping

reduce hazardous waste and electricity usage,

resulting in lower energy costs and increased

protection for the environment. EPEAT-certified

products contain reduced levels of cadmium, lead

and mercury. They are also more energy-efficient,

which reduces emissions of climate-changing

greenhouse gases, and they decrease acquisition

costs over the lifetime of the monitors by reducing

energy consumption and minimizing recycling fees.

ratios as high as 500:1 (typical) and brightness

quality much higher than CRTs at 250 cd/m
