CONDITION
No power.
No sound.
Noisy reception, hiss.
Display shows "No Service List".
Reception with whistling, buzzing noise.
No rds information.
M4 does not respond to remote control.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
The power cord is disconnected.
Power AC lead unplugged or power not
switched ON.
Signal leads incorrectly connected.
Station not selected or weak signal with FM
Mute on
Weak signal.
DAB antenna not connected properly.
No DAB coverage in the area.
Interference from other computers, games
consoles.
Station signal too weak.
Station not transmitting RDS data.
Batteries are flat or incorrectly inserted.
IR transmitter window on remote or IR receiver
window on M4 is obstructed.
M4 front panel is in very bright sunlight or
ambient light.

TROUBLESHOOTING

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS
Plug the power cord into the wall outlet
securely.
Check AC lead.
Check connections to amplifier.
Re-tune or switch off FM Mute.
Check station tuning. Adjust or replace
antenna.
Check the connection and position of the
DAB antenna.
Call your local DAB broadcast providers for
coverage information.
Check station tuning. Switch off or move the
source of electrical noise.
Check station tuning. Adjust or replace
antenna.
Tune to an RDS station that supports station-
name (PS mode) and radio-text (RT mode).
Check batteries.
Check IR windows and ensure clear line-of-
sight from remote to M4.
Reduce sunlight/room lighting.
