    Have the device installed and put into service by authorized and trained electricians of KARL STORZ SE & Co. KG or by companies authorized by KARL STORZ. Use either the power cord supplied by KARL STORZ or a power cord which has the same properties and which bears a national mark of conformity.

    We recommend changing the passwords for all user roles upon putting into service. This ensures that nobody can access the device without authorization.     5.4.2.1 Assigning and deassigning aliases Common names can be used for certain connected equipment. The aliases are specified by the system and can be assigned separately for each language.     If the test is failed, a preset will not be added. The import of data is backward compatible, i.e., only data from older or identical KARL STORZ SCB software versions are imported. If the amount of available equipment has already been restricted, the import adds missing equipment and the presets remain consistent.

    In the SCB network several identical items of equipment of an equipment type can be operated and controlled centrally from the KARL STORZ SCB software. To be able to distinguish between the identical items of equipment, they are each assigned an individual identifying code. The codes assigned are valid for the entire KARL STORZ SCB and all configurations.

    The update to OR1 SCB CONTROL Rel 3.0 requires the installation of the corresponding HIVE certificates via the shortcut Get Hive Certificate on the desktop before this new bus system will be supported.     The VNC server service enables communication between OR1 SCB CONTROL and, for example, the KARL STORZ AIDA®. The VNC service does not need to be started, if KARL STORZ SCB is run standalone. Log in using the system administrator account (user name OR1Admin , password or1admin ).
