When the engine will not start:
Is there fuel in
the tank?

Is the engine
switch ON?

Is the fuel vale
lever on?

Is the spark plug
in good
condition?

reaching the
carburetor?

If the engine still
does not start,
take the
generator to an
authorized
Honda dealer.

To check:
1)Turn off the fuel valve
lever and loosen the
drain screw.
2)Turn on the fuel valve
lever. Fuel should flow
from the drain.
Refill the fuel
tank (see page
23).
Turn the engine
switch ON.
Turn the fuel
valve lever ON.
Add the
recommended
oil (see page 21).
Clean, readjust
gap and dry the
spark plug.
Replace it if
necessary (see
page 47).
Clean the fuel
sediment cup
(see page 46).
