Troubleshooting
Solution
The SIM card may be incorrectly
inserted. Check the SIM card to make
sure that it is inserted properly. See
"Installing the SIM Card" on page 19.
Call your service provider (the company

that sends you your monthly wireless
service bill) to obtain the PIN
unblocking key (PUK) code. See
"Unblock the SIM Card PIN Code" on
page 167.
Enter the factory-preset unlock code
(1234), or the last four digits of your
phone number. (See "Locking and
Unlocking Your Phone" on page 164.) If
this fails, call your service provider (the
company that sends you your monthly
wireless service bill).

you own the phone but do not know
the unlock code, see "If You Forget a
Code or Password" on page 163.
