Inserting and Removing an SD Memory Card (Optional
Accessory)
Images captured with the Vivicam 4000 will be stored on a Secure Digital (SD)
memory card. You must have an SD card in place to use the Vivicam 4000.
Before inserting or removing the SD card, make sure that the power of the
camera is off.

Inserting an SD card

1. Open the battery/SD card cover.
2. Insert the SD card in the correct orientation
as shown.
Hold the SD card with the contact pins
facing the rear side of the camera. Insert
the card as far as it can go. There will
be a distinct click as the card seats fully
into the card slot.
3. Close the battery /SD card cover.

Removing an SD card

Open the battery/SD card cover, press lightly on the edge of the SD card and it
will eject.
If the Vivicam 4000 is powered on
without an SD card inserted, a
message "NO CARD" appears on
the LCD monitor.
To prevent valuable data from
being accidentally erased from an
SD card you can slide the write-
protected tab (on the side of the SD
card) to "LOCK".
However, to save, edit or erase data on an SD card, you must unlock the
card.
The Vivicam 4000 cannot use MultiMediaCard
Removing a memory card when the camera power is on may potentially
corrupt the memory card.
