4. Assemble bolts, washers, and nuts in the exact

:
WARNING
Periodically inspect the blade
adapter for cracks, especially if you strike
a foreign object. Replace when necessary.
Blade Mounting Torque
The recommended torque for the center blade bolt
is 450-600 in. lbs. The recommended torque for the
two blade adapter bolts is 200-350 in. lbs.
To insure safe operation of your unit, all nuts and
bolts must be checked periodically for correct
tightness.
Sharpening blade
1. The blade can be sharpened with a file or on a
grinding wheel. Do not attempt to sharpen
while on the mower.
2. When sharpening the blade, follow the original
angle of grind as a guide. It is extremely
important that each cutting edge receives an
equal amount of grinding to prevent an
unbalanced blade.
3. Test the blade by balancing it on a round shaft
screwdriver or a blade balancer. Figure 11.
NOTE:
An unbalanced blade will cause excessive
vibration when rotating at high speeds, may cause
damage to the mower and could break, causing
personal injury.
4. If the blade is not balanced, remove metal from
the heavy side until it balances evenly. We
recommend that the blade be always removed
from the adapter for the best test of balance
1. Insert screw driver through hole

position. Also make sure to follow the correct
order as shown in Figure 10.
