After a period of time, if the trimming-disc surface becomes smooth or ridges appear, it is possible to smooth out the ridges or roughen up
the surface by means of a dressing tool.
When using a dressing tool, the Instructions for Use and Safety Information must be strictly adhered to.
A 8.4 Replacement trimming discs
• Replacement discs from KaVo EWL are supplied with a tool for removing the old disc, and a tube of grease for sealing the disc
compartment.
• Never fit replacement discs on an already-installed disc, irrespective of origin or type.
• Using diamond trimming discs for trimming of investment materials and metals leads to extreme wear and tear of the disc.
• In such cases,
KaVo EWL undertakes no liability.
• When replacing a disc, the supplied instructions for changing must be followed.

Possible cause
Water volume is set too high
Drainage hose has been extended
with a thinner hose
Drainage hose is kinked
End of the drainage hose submerged
under water in plaster trap

The drainage hose curve is too sharp
The hose is fitted with a pipe elbow
Possible remedy
Reduce the pressure at the faucet
(see section A 5.2 Water control)
Ensure that the hose diameter is 1" (25.4 mm)
Make sure there are no kinks in the hose
Ensure that the end of the hose is above the
surface of the water
Check that the drop is at least 1 cm per metre
too shallow
Make sure the hose lies as straight as possible
Curve of the elbow must be at least 40 mm
