Installation Procedure

Introduction

The optional KTES-FBOX is used for a flush mounted installation of the KTES unit. It is used to place the KTES inside a wall.
Note: The distance between the lower side of the KTES case and the floor should not be more than 117 cm (46 in).

Specification

• Back box dimensions: 375.6 x 292.5mm (14.75 x 11.5 in) and a depth of 76.5mm (3 in).
• Perfect for new construction.
• Unit weight: 8.6Kg (19.0lbs).

Installing the Flush Mounting Kit

3.1. Unpacking

The flush mounting kit includes the following parts:
• One (1) built-in case
• One (1) frame of 35.8 x 44.13 x 0.916 cm (14.063 x 17.375 x 0.361 in)
• Screws to mount the box to the wall as shown in figure 1 (4 Wood Screws - Phillips Drive Flat head #8 x 1.00 zinc plated)
• Screws for the frame assembly as shown in figure 2 (6 Self tapping screw flat head Philips #6 x .25)
• One (1) install sheet.

3.2. Mounting

Perform the following steps to install the Flush Mounting Kit:
1. Make an opening of adequate dimensions in the wall.
2. Insert and tighten the screws to secure the unit. Avoid using the holes reserved for the frame and the holes reserved for the KTES
itself (see Figure 1).
Note: You must consider the wall thickness when mounting the system recessed and provide sufficient depth space into the wall
opening (see Figure 4). The unit enclosure has a depth of 2.82 inches (7.17 cm).
3. Insert the frame into the case, and then, secure the 3 screws on each side of the frame to the built-in case (see Figure 2).
4. Insert the KTES into the flush mounting kit and secure it (see Figure 3).
