Remove chain (A), shaft (B), and sprocket (C). Remove bolts (D)

and back row unit away from planter frame. Remove angles (E)

and use original U-bolts (F) to mount coulter frame (G).
Re-attach row unit (H), sprocket (C), shaft (B), and chain (A).

Attach blade (I) to
hub (J) with 3/8"

bolts and nuts.
Align blade (I) with
seed disk (K) with

shim washers (L),

using more or less
on each side.
Fasten with 5/8"
x 8" bolt (M) and

locknut (N). Tighten
nut then tap on bolt
(M) with hammer to

seat bearings.
It is recommended to use down pressure springs (O) for no-
till. Attach as shown in picture with inside springs fastened for
conventional ground. Fasten all springs for no-till. Use clip pin
(P) for easy adjusting.
Operating Instructions

For best results, coulter blade
should not run much deeper
than seed disk. Start in
shallow position as shown in
diagram (R), than adjust down
to correct depth.
If coulter blade does not
go deep enough it, may be
necessary to add weight to
planter frame.

MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Occasionally, check coulter
blade diameter, replace
if less than 14". When
replacing blade, check
bearings. Bearings may not
last 2 sets of blades.
