Chapter 4. Basic Usage Using Five Way Button Five Way Button is one of the most important features of MEGA PLAYER 540. In this document, we will use the term, “Select”, to mean that you should push Five Way Button to left or right to browse through options, and then select the option by pressing the Five Way Button.

If you want to manage files on the USB device, or backup data to the USB device, firstly plug one end of the USB Host cable to the MEGA PLAYER 540 USB port, the other end to the proprietary cable of the USB device, such as digital camera and USB stick, and then go through with following steps.

Setting Power Off You can set the timer under Power Off setting to turn off MEGA PLAYER 540 automatically when it is playing or recording for a certain time. Select the Setting item in Main Menu.
Setting Backlight Off Backlight timer program can save the power. After having been idle for few seconds, the device will run the Backlight timer program automatically and cease the backlight, you can press any button to wake the backlight up. Select the Setting item in Main Menu.
Setting Language Select the Setting item in Main Menu. Select the Language item. Select a language you want to use. Setting Date and Time Select the Setting item in Main Menu. Select the Date/Time item.
To adjust how the time is displayed, select the Time Format item, and then select 12 hour or 24 hour. Select Set Time or Set date to change the time or date settings. The current time or date is displayed. Set the time or date, and then press the Enter button to confirm and exit.
