Set route planning method

Proceed as follows to set defaults for route planning,
such as fast or short:
1. Press Nav .
HOME
2. Select menu item Settings.
3. Select menu item Route settings.
4. Select menu item Route planning methods.
5. Select the desired default setting.
• Fast: The Porsche Classic Communication
Management Plus calculates a route with the
shortest possible travel time.
• Easy: The Porsche Classic Communication
Management Plus calculates a route with the
easiest possible travel, such as the lowest
possible number of turns.
• Short: The Porsche Classic Communication
Management Plus calculates a route with the
shortest possible travel distance.
• Green: The Porsche Classic Communication
Management Plus calculates a route with the
best possible fuel economy.

Set road type

You have the ability to include or exclude various
road types when calculating the route. Proceed as
follows:
1. Press Nav .

2. Select menu item Settings.
3. Select menu item Route Preferences.
4. Enable or disable the desired checkbox
• Motorways: When this function is set, the
route calculation includes highways.
• Road With Period Charge: When this function
is set, the route calculation includes roads
subject to time-dependent use fees.
• Road With Per-use Toll: When this function
is set, the route calculation includes roads
subject to a route-dependent use fee.
• Ferries: When this function is set, the route
calculation includes automobile ferries.
• Car Shuttle Trains: When this function is set,
the route calculation includes car trains.
• Carpool Lanes (HOV): When this function is
set, the route calculation includes Carpool
Lanes.
• Unpaved Roads: When this function is set, the
route calculation includes unpaved roads.

Set tone volume

Proceed as follows to set the volume for signal tones
and voice output:
1. Press Nav
HOME
2. Select menu item Settings.
3. Select menu item Sound.
4. Select the desired function and set the vol-
: ume:
• Silent Mode
• Voice: Set volume for voice output.
• Alerts: Set the volume for acoustic warnings.
• Ding: Set the volume or attention tone. The
attention tone sounds prior to navigation
announcements.
• Keys: Set volume for button tones.

Tone output on/off

Proceed as follows to enable/disable tone output:
1. Press Nav
