Move STOP switch (B) to RUN
position.

Press purge bulb (C) 8 times or
until fuel is visible in the purge
bulb.

Turn choke control knob (D)
counterclockwise to (CLOSED
choke position).
After choke control knob is turned and the knob returned

to original position, throttle will remain slightly open (latch
condition).
The chain will attempt to move when engine is started with
◆
fast idle throttle latch engaged.
Do not start engine before chain brake is locked.

7.
Securely hold the chainsaw and
pull starter handle (E) several
times until first starting sound.
Note: Do not pull starter rope
out to the maximum
possible position. Do not
allow starter handle to
snap back against the
casing. If engine does
not start after 5 pulls,
repeat instructions.
