- Page 2 PLEASE READ THROUGH ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE ASSEMBLING! This Northern Exposure is a handcrafted futon frame. It is made of pine. Cracking, twisting, and warping are common characteristics of this wood. Each frame is uniquely different because it is hand hewed. Because cracking, twisting, and warping are characteristics of the wood, they are not considered defects.
- Page 3 Northern Exposure Futon Assembly Instructions STEP 4: Wood Pegs go into angled slots. Set the back deck between the arms with the slats facing front. Install back deck by inserting hardwood pegs into the angled slots of both arms. Once this has been completed, all 6 bolts should be tightened tight.

Seat Section Take a pencil and draw a line across the small end of the stop on the seat section end.
