  • Page 4 Connections Output Connections i n p u t Program—The program channels are wired for unbalanced The o u t p u t transformer has a split secondary winding t o permit 50,000-ohm operation and are equipped w i t h both screw 600-ohm or dual 150/600-ohm connections.

    A n y additional connection between the circuit and chassis or ground may cause h u m . Output—When the balanced o u t p u t of the 5306 is connected t o a power amplifier that does not have an isolation transformer, the circuit-to-chassis connection at the power amplifier must be removed.

    Using the test set-up illustrated, replace the A C voltmeter The f o l l o w i n g test equipment is recommended: w i t h the harmonic distortion analyzer at the 5306 o u t p u t terminals.
  • Page 7 Connect the analyzer input terminals across the 600-ohm balanced o u t p u t terminals of the 5306. The o u t p u t of the mixer should be properly loaded w i t h a 620-ohm, 1-watt resistor.

    22.0V 44.5V might suggest a source of trouble. Q409 22.0V 43.4V Q410 43.4V 43.9V Testing—All of the major circuits used in the 5306 are connected Q411 43.8V 44.2V *22.3V in cascade; consequently, each successive unit must operate Q412 1.2V *22.3V properly in order t o test the following stages.
