A n y additional connection between the circuit and chassis or ground may cause h u m . Output—When the balanced o u t p u t of the 5306 is connected t o a power amplifier that does not have an isolation transformer, the circuit-to-chassis connection at the power amplifier must be removed. -

Using the test set-up illustrated, replace the A C voltmeter The f o l l o w i n g test equipment is recommended: w i t h the harmonic distortion analyzer at the 5306 o u t p u t terminals. - Page 7 Connect the analyzer input terminals across the 600-ohm balanced o u t p u t terminals of the 5306. The o u t p u t of the mixer should be properly loaded w i t h a 620-ohm, 1-watt resistor.
