  • Page 4 Motivation The objective of this document is to set up a MOBOTIX NAS as a storage device for MOBOTIX Move-Kameras bzw. ONVIF-Kameras. The MOBOTIX NAS QVRProServer recording software is required for recording from MOBOTIX Move-Kameras bzw. ONVIF-Kameras on the NAS. For most efficient configuration of camera settings, use the Advanced Configuration feature of MxManagementCenter.

For MOBOTIX MOVE cameras, the admin user in the camera’s web interface is also the ONVIF admin. For other camera brands (e.g., Axis), the roles for web interface admin and ONVIF admin are separate.

  • Page 24 After the recording spaces have been completely allocated, open Camera Settings in QVR Pro (Recorder Software). QVR Pro is only suitable for MOVE/ONVIF cameras. Therefore, make sure that no MOBOTIX IoT cameras have been selected. You can recognize MOBOTIX IoT cameras by their MAC address.
  • Page 25 Step 14: Add Cameras in QVR (2) In the next window, check whether MOBOTIX NAS has recognized the desired camera brand and IP address. Continue by adding any missing camera data, such as: Name: Enter a unique description (used in QVR Pro only).
  • Page 26 Note: When the camera is added, two profiles (MxHiQuality for HiRes and MxLoQuality for LoRes) are automatically created in MxMC. The values set in MxMC for MxHiQuality are automatically transferred to the MOBOTIX NAS. Note: Simultaneous operation of Normal Recording and Event Recording is currently not supported.
  • Page 27 Step 15: Finish MOBOTIX NAS Setup Finish and then close the wizard. In the Camera Settings window, check that all cameras have been added to the QVR Pro software. Wait about 5 min until the MOBOTIX NAS has connected to the new cameras.
