USB drawer as a virtual COM port device. That is, it works as if it is connected to a COM port. Whenever the POS application software sends a pre-set open command code to the virtual COM port, the drawer will be opened. -

INSTALLATION The CR3003 cash drawer has been pre-assembled to make the installation as simple as possible. 1. Remove the cash drawer from its shipping container. 2. Remove the keys and interface cable from its plastic bag. 3. Connect the RJ11 connector of the interface cable to the cash drawer back panel. -

5 bytes, codes in the additional boxes will be ignored. 5. Click "Write Comm" button to write settings to the CR3003. 6. Set up the POS retail software with same opening code and COM port name for the cash drawer. -
Page 8: Key Lock Operation
USB driver is installed successfully and the opening command codes are programmed. Turn the cash drawer key lock to the vertical position and run the POS software to verify that the drawer will open correctly. To test the drawer without the POS software, HyperTerminal communication software that comes with Windows may be used. -
