Track JUMP (Outer Circumference)
Execute the track jump for the specified number of
tracks toward the outer circumference. Other items
are the same as those of the inner circumference
jump.
Focus Jump
Execute the focus jump for the DVD two-layer disc.
The return value is 00000000 when the layer after
focus jump is 0 or 00000001 when the layer is 1.
Tilt Servo Operation Start
Turn on the liquid crystal tilt servo. When the
tracking servo is ON, the tilt servo operation is
validated. At default, the operation stops. The return
value is 00000000.
Tilt Servo Operation Stop
Turn off the liquid crystal tilt servo. The return value
is 00000000.
CD Error Rate Measurement
Measure the C1 error rate of the CD by setting the
sampling time of 1 to 30 seconds. The setting of the
sampling time is the same as the setting method of
the number of track jumps. For the return value, the
C1 error rate is displayed exponentially. The unit is %
if the specified value is multiplied by 100.
Spindle CAV Operation
For DVD, revolve the spindle at 10 Hz at a constant
speed. The return value is 00000000.
EJECT
Eject the magazine. Use the key 1 or key 2 to select
whether or not the magazine returns to the carriage
home at ejection. If the fourth digit from the bottom
is executed with "1", no carriage home occurs, and if
it is executed with "0", carriage home occurs. The
return value is 00000001 for no carriage home, or
00000000 for carriage home.
Automatic Adjustment Value Request
Display the results of various types of automatic
adjustment. Use the [!] or ["] key to toggle-select an
adjustment value to be displayed. If the fourth digit
from the bottom is executed with "0", F. BAL
adjustment values are displayed in the first and
second digits of the display value, T offset adjustment
values are displayed in the third and fourth digits and
F offset adjustment values are displayed in the fifth
and sixth digits. If it is executed with "1", a T. AGC
adjustment value is displayed in the first digit of the
display value, T. AGC adjustment values are
displayed in the third and fourth digits and F. AGC
adjustment values are displayed in the fifth and sixth

digits. If it is executed with "2", T. BAL adjustment
values are displayed in the first and second digits of
the display value, tilt servo adjustment values are
displayed in the third and fourth digits and RF gain
adjustment values are displayed in the fifth and sixth
digits.

Display Data Request
Display the state in each mode. The return value is
00000000 in the Power Off mode, 0101101 in the
Power On mode, 02020202 if focus servo is ON in the

Focus Close mode, 01010101 if it is not ON or ID No.
(for DVD) or MSF No. (for CD) if the tracking servo is
normally ON in the Tracking Close mode.
Carriage Inner Circumference Movement : X0110000
Move the carriage to the inner circumference side. It

moves while the BAND key is being pressed. This
movement is validated except when the tracking
servo is turned on.

Move the carriage to the outer circumference side. It
moves while the BAND key is being pressed. This
movement is validated when the tracking servo is

Turn off each power. The return value is 00000000.

Normal Mode Setting
Move to the Normal mode.

EDC Mode Start
Normal playback is started by performing control
data read for DVD and TOC read for CD. The return
value is TOC-WX (X is a tray No.).
EDC Mode 1 DVD/CD
Start solid playback from an optional ID No. (for DVD)
or MSF No. (for CD). For the ID No. setting method
for DVD, select the digit for the ID No. to be specified

by changing the third digit from the bottom of the
display value in the same manner as the setting of the
number of track jumps using the TR up/down key and
use the key 1 or key 2 to set the ID No. of the digit.
After having set the ID No., execute operation using
the BAND key. For CD, use the key 1 or key 2 to set
the fourth digit from the bottom of the display value
to "1" and set the setting mode according to the MSF
No. The subsequent MSF No. setting method is the
same as the ID No. setting method for DVD. The
return value is EDC10000 for DVD and is the low-
order four digits indicating minutes and seconds for
CD.
