INSTALLING THE USB
ADSL MODEM
1. Connect the rectangular end of the USB cable into Your
PC's USB port. Connect the square end of the USB cable into
the USB Modem's USB port.
2. Connect a phone line from the DSL outlet to the DSL port in
the USB Modem.
3. Insert the Setup Utility disk into the floppy drive.

FOR WINDOWS 98
1. Insert the Setup Utility disk into the floppy drive.
2. When the "Add New Hardware Wizard" screen appears on
your desktop, click Next.
3. Select Search for the best driver and click Next. Select
Floppy disk drives and click Next.
4. Windows will notify you that it is ready to install the driver.
Click Next. When Windows has completed installing the driver,
click Finish.
5. Again, the "Add New Hardware Wizard" screen will appear on
your desktop. Click Next.
6. Select Search for the best driver and click Next. Select
Floppy disk drives and click Next. Choose The updated driver
and click Next.
7. Windows will notify you that it is ready to install the driver.
Click Next.
8. Insert your Microsoft Windows 98 CD-ROM and click OK.
9. On the "Copying Files..." screen, select the appropriate drive

This sheet will guide you through the basic steps needed to install this
Linksys product on your computer. If you have any problems during
installation, visit our support page at www.Linksys.com.
in the "Copy files from" drop-down menu and click OK.
10. When Windows has completed installing the files, click
Finish.
11. Remove your CD-ROM and Floppy disk and click Yes to
reboot your PC.

FOR WINDOWS 2000
1. Insert the Setup Utility disk into the floppy drive.
2. When the "Found New Hardware Wizard" screen appears on
your desktop, click Next.
3. Select Search for a suitable driver and click Next. Select
Floppy disk drives and click Next.
4. Windows will notify you that it is ready to install the driver.
Click Next. When Windows has completed installing the driver,
click Finish.
5. Again, the "Found New Hardware Wizard" screen will appear
on your desktop. Click Next.
6. Select Search for a suitable driver and click Next. Select
Floppy disk drives and click Next.
Windows will then notify you that is has found the device. Click
Next again. When Windows notifies you that a Digital Signature
has not been found, click Yes as no Digital Signature is needed.
Installation is complete.
