Page 2 MOTORS 25HP+ Install Guide for Motors 25HP+ WB.M25+.02 STEP 1 Remove the center pre-installed bolt located on the Transom to accommodate the Motor Template. NOTE Riveted hulls may require a screw on the transom cap to be removed for properly mounting the template.
Page 3 MOTORS 25HP+ Install Guide for Motors 25HP+ WB.M25+.02 STEP 4 Using the 1/2” drill bit, drill through the Transom into each hole of the Motor Template. STEP 5 Remove the Motor Template from the Transom and re-install the bolt from Step 1. STEP 6 Review Motor Crate to locate any damage or potential issues with the Motor.
Page 4 Review the Legend Motor Guide to determine the mounting hole location of the Motor onto the Transom. STEP 8 Refer to the Mercury Marine Installation manual included with the Motor for installing the motor. Confirm with the Mercury Marine Installation manual the correct lifting device required prior to lifting the motor.
