Lanyard WP is a component of an item for personal protection and must not be used by its own.
USE:
Lanyard WP is intended to be used with rope adjustment devices Lory WP.H, Lory Safe and Lory Smart. Only these
combinations are certified and in accordance with the European regulation (EU) 2016/425. For instructions on Lory
WP.H, Lory Safe and Lory Smart consult their respective manuals and get proper training.
SAFETY MEASURES AND WARNINGS
a) There are innumerable and even unimaginable possible modes of use of this lanyard. Only techniques
shown in the figures of Lory WP.H, Lory Safe or Lory Smart instruction brochures that are not crossed out or
displaying a skull are recommended and covered by the warranty.
b) This component must be installed exclusively by competent persons. This includes liability against
damages, injuries and death incurred by improper installation, use or misuse of the equipment.
c) Use only EN 362 certified carabiners with Lory WP.H, Lory Safe and Lory Smart.
INSTALLATION OF THE LANYARD
Lory WP.H
To install the lanyard into the Lory WP.H, first unscrew the blocking screw from the opening button with the
provided Allen wrench. If the button tends to rotate, block it by means of a sideways hole (fig. 1a). Then press
the opening button and simultaneously slide the housing sides apart (fig. 1b). Lead the rope around the cam
(fig. 1c). The end of the rope with the attachment termination / carabiner must exit the device on the side close to
the axle for the housing sides (consult the sketch on the housing for help). Slide the housing sides back together
so that the opening button locks the top housing side and is fully released. Screw firmly the blocking screw back
in the opening button and check whether the button is properly blocked (fig. 1d). The device is only closed
properly after the opening button sits inside the top housing button hole and is blocked by the screw.
Lory Safe and Lory Smart
To install the lanyard into Lory Safe or Lory Smart, press the opening button and simultaneously slide the
housing sides apart (fig. 1.b). The working end of the rope exits the device close to the axle around which the
housing sides rotate (consult the sketch on the housing for help). Lead the rope around the cam so that the free
end of the lanyard exits the device between both camming elements (fig. 1.c). Slide the housing sides back
together. The device is only closed properly once the opening button locks the top housing side and is fully
released (fig. 1.d).
After installation of the lanyard always conduct a functional test to ascertain correct functionality of the device
(fig. 1.e).
WARNING: If the lanyard is not inserted correctly, the locking mechanism does not work.
PACKING AND STORAGE
Each product is packed with its INSTRUCTION FOR USE. Store the lanyard in a dry place at room temperature
and away from sources of heat.
LIFETIME
Lifetime is set by the date of production and must not exceed 10 years. Service time starts with the date of first

corrosive atmosphere), and on mechanical wear and damage. Retirement is therefore left to regular checks
and annual inspections of this product.
